Ostara is always on the Spring Equinox. This is usually falls on March 20th / 21st. This is a celebration marking the beginning of Spring.

Some may even consider this the beginning of the year, as winter can be seen as the "death" of the year, whereas Spring marks the start of new life again. It can also be observed that the start of the zodiac cycle, Aries, begins here as well- which also would also signal a start to the year.

Ways to celebrate this holiday include planting seeds and observing the starting points of nature. If you live a bit north like myself, this is a good time to just enjoy seeing green poke out from snow or notice the buds on the trees that produce leaves. For those that live in a different climate, some of you may have already started your gardens or are partaking in copious amounts of sunlight.

This year, I am partaking in fresh fruit and vegetables, and if weather allows, I will be going on a walk to air out my stuffy winter mind. Rituals and observances don't need to be a grand party, but rather a mindfulness toward nature's shifts is enough.

I wish you all a beautiful start into spring with a wonderful mood to boot!
